What training will I receive?

Training is taken entirely at your own pace an no one is expected to go solo in any of our volunteering roles until they feel entirely confident in the role.  Training includes:

• induction training;
• shadowing experienced volunteers to see volunteering in practice;
• one to one training and support as required from The Risk Factory staff team; and
• ongoing training to ensure the whole team remains 'on message'.

Written notes are provided for each of the volunteering roles emphasising the key safety messages.

Can I claim expenses?

As a volunteer you can can claim expenses to reimburse your travel costs, and if you volunteer for the whole day, we will also cover the cost of your lunch.  Further details are provided in the Volunteer Manual.

What do I wear?

A uniform of polo shirt and sweatshirt is provided for wearing whilst volunteering.
