We ask all groups that attend the centre to complete an evaluation form. Here are some of the comments that we have received and some of the replies we have sent:
Buckstone Primary School, October 2009 - They all had a fab time - including our parents who came in support. A really good set up. Thank you for being so enthusiastic with our children, it will be an experience they will remember (but hopefully not share with younger children) for a long time.
Prestonfield, November 2009 - This may not be possible due to time constraints, but it would be good if there was just 5 or so minutes for children to have a snack. This could just be when we arrive so that it doesn't interrupt the scenarios. The children got to school at half 8 and didn't leave school until 12.30, so it was quite a while for some of them not to have something. But other than that everything else was great. This was a brilliant trip and the children didn't stop talking about it the whole way home on the bus. I feel it really opened up their eyes to safety and was great for me to see how the children may react in a real life situation. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate a break during the programme as time is limited and we often have a class in the afternoon. As part of our 'Information Sheet for Teachers' we include a reminder to teachers to try to ensure pupils have eaten before visiting.
Pinewood, December 2009 - It was an excellent resource. All staff were fantastic and were able to pitch the resources at the correct level taking into account the learning difficulties of the group .
Bonnyrigg, February 2010 - The children really enjoyed their day and were able to explore difficult situations in a safe environment. Thank you for an excellent day.
Longniddry, March 2010 - The class really enjoyed the whole experience and shared this in some personal writing. There was a strong message in each scenerio that the children really understood. Thanks to everyone for an excellent morning, it was outstanding.
